Islam Gashi, a member of the Kosovo Protection Corps (KPC), andhis father were detained in the Prizren region in Kosovo, the two detainees were charged of killing Kosovo Albanians suspected of collaborating with Serb forces during 1998-1999 conflicts in the province.

The two were suspects in "serious criminal offenses such as murder," a statement from UN police in Kosovo said.

The KLA, a guerrilla group that fought against Serb forces in 1998-1999 conflicts, was disbanded after the province came under UN administration in June 1999.
