Serbs stoned in Kosovo


VITINA - About twenty Albanian in the village of Grnovo today threw stones at refugee Serbs who had returned from Serbia proper to inspect their property in the neighbourhood of Vitina.

UNMIK spokesman Andrea Angeli told media that a Jordanian policeman and a Serbs suffered superficial injuries.

The eight Serb refugees were escorted back to Serbia proper by UNMIK police after the incident.

One assailant has been arrested in an ongoing investigation.
